Summer Sales Differences
People often become confused between
the differences between selling Pest Control, Alarms (security systems),
or Satellites (generally selling Dish Network or Direct TV. accounts).
By no means are any of these summer sales programs in the same category.
Below is a detailed explanation of how most summer sales programs work:

What Does
the Average Salesman Make?
Average is relative. I guess the
real question is, what is average? Most Alarm companies say that
their average salesperson makes around $27,000 per summer, most Pest
Control companies report their average salesperson makes around $23,000,
and most Satellite companies report their average salesperson makes
around $15,000. However most of these companies fail to mention
one huge factor, these numbers are only factored on the salespeople that
actually complete the summer sales program.
- 90% of people who sell with Excel
Marketing complete the summer sales program. That means 9 out
of 10 people succeed selling with Excel Marketing
- 75% of people who sell alarms
quit within the first 3 weeks. That means 3 out of 10 people
succeed selling alarms.
- 60% of people who sell satellites
complete the summer sales program. That means 6 out of 10 people
succeed selling satellites.

Upfront
Money
Upfront money between Pest Control
Sales and Alarms are almost identical. Excel Marketing pays
between $63 to $85, most Alarm companies pay $75 upfront for each sale,
and most satellite companies pay $45 upfront for each sale. based
on the average number of sales you would make during the summer your
upfront money would be:
- pest control through Excel Marketing
is $14,175 (which is dramatically higher than any other Pest Control
company)
- Alarms: $3,750
- Satellites: 4,500
Keep in mind the figures above
represent your upfront money on the average number of sales a
salesperson will make over the course of a summer. Most companies
hold your money until December 31st or longer to make sure the clients
the salesperson signed up make all of their payments on time or do not
cancel.

Closing
Thoughts
There are reasons why 75% of people who
do alarms don't succeed, the summer sales program for alarms was not
built for the average salesman. You have to be an exceptionally
good salesperson to last the whole summer selling alarms. Pest Control sales
through Excel Marketing was designed for the everyone to
succeed. It does not mean that you won't make money doing one of
the other sales programs, but it does imply that you are less likely to
fail.
